Reflecting on the new skills learned when the lyp sync tutorial was completed in June

The new skills we learnt during or summer lesson that were to lead up to our A2 course consisted of:
  •  using final cut pro,
  • having many different base tracks of the same music video
  • and the backing track and cutting the song to the beat to help fit the lyrics with the song and the video clips.
Doing this helped everyone learn how lyrics would go with the song without having to do any guesswork in Final Cut Pro.
Using the preset clips inserted by our teachers, we put down markers every four beats in order to help cut the song and fit it with the different shots taken of the film (to be honest, parts of our music video didnt follow the rule because it didn't go at every part of the song) .
With this we were able to sync the different shots with the lyrics involving long shots wide shots two shots and so on using the splice tool. We could then combine the visual and audio components together to make a perfectly synced video. This would help us for further lipsyncing work.
