During our first couple of lessons, our teachers showed us previous student work and the one that stood out for me was by Kelly Dury,Jasmine Bahrain and Yasmin Philips doing a video to Florence + the Machine-Cosmic Love.
I thought it was brave to do a music video to a song which already had a video, but I thought they were really successful with the end result, the only thing they had not done so much was lip-sync as much as I presume was required for the exam. I loved the mise en scene, and the setting.
The idea of an 'Alice in Wonderland' theme to this song was very original and in my personal opinion, i think it was much better than the original music video to the song.
The editing was also good, the fading in and out along with the moving camerawork worked well with each other and made the theme of the video more effective. They were also good with the lighting, especially at the beginning of the song with the girl in the bed, capturing parts of her face with the light, and parts of her dress.
