Preparing for the pitch: Ideas

Today in class, we decided to start thinking of some ideas for our video discussing and expanding our thoughts about the video that we want to make.

For the inspiration, we turned to youtube, and search a couple of videos :

• Ludacris ft Mary J Blig- Runaway Love. From this video, we liked how Ludacris was in the background doing the narrative of a runaway storyline through the lyrics
• Kanye West- Heard 'Em Say- From this video , we liked how the drawing came to life, and we were thinking about using this style to illustrate the narrate part of the scene
• Bruno Mars- Just the way you are- we were thinking how we could use a simple thing to do something similar to the tape, like a flip book
• Lil Wayne- How To Love

We decided to have a 'runaway' theme with different characters experiencing difficulty in life and thinking the only solution is to run away. We will have a series of base tracks where we could cut in and out. We discussed how the video will have different stories that will amplified with a drawing and also include some narrative.

We have also come up with some ideas of different locations like :

• A train station- somewhere like Waterloo station because the setting is not appealing and will fit with the type of song and storyline we are doing
• A  Canal- This can also be a place that will involve a storyline of a runaway . The canal that we had discussed were two near to our college (off city road, and near Colbroke Row)
• An estate - Another location for a runaway storyline
