Filming Day 8 - Analysis
BRILLIANT! I really enjoyed this day of filming as we set out before hand what we wanted and we got that as soon as we got to our location and the important thing was the filming day was short and sweet because most shots were one takes and done in perfection and hopefully that reflects in our final video. We wanted to at least 4-5 base tracks from our new performer played by Kudiwa (Yasmin) from different angles and in different near by locations and I felt we accomplished that the 1st most important shot we wanted to get out of the way was the close up! Previously we have been told this shot is not used as often as it would like to be seen by examiners so thought it was vital we done this 1st then move on to the more technical shots. The base track of the close-up was very successful and as me and Shazray were the only members of the group there for this days of filming we watched this footage and were very satisfied with the footage we retained. We then moved on to more distant shots for example the medium close ups which were again also excellent, one thing we done on the set of this filming day was set the mood and made our performer very comfortable so me and Shazray behind camera almost performed with our Yasmin to make her feel at ease and for her to not to hold back any mannarisms for example smiles, hand movements or dances which makes the shot look more warmer and attractive when the audience see the performer is not in least one bit shy. One base track we got and was creative was getting both Artists in one shot reciting the lyrics showing there relationship and telling the story which was clever as this is used in top quality Music videos. All in all I was proud of our filming on this day and felt the footage will really look good when it comes to editing it with our story.
