Q3) How Did You Use Media Technologies In The Construction And Research, Planning and Evaluation Stages?

YouTube played a key role during our research as it allowed us to watch other Rap music videos from around the world for inspiration for our main text. One thing that really impressed me about this source of research was on the side it SUGGESTED other video's in the same genre that might interest us instead of searching a whole different video. This helped as is shortened down the research process and introduced us into new video's in the same genre which we could use for inspiration.

During the research stage it was pivotal we looked at the original artist's website which gave us latest news on his career for example tour dates, latest collaborations and album releases. I felt this also gave me inspiration for creating my character as I wanted to keep similar attributes as the original for example looking at how his website portrays his personality, so when making my ancillary products the theme was continued also looking at this gave me inspiration in performing as him.

Wikipedia 

When researching my character I also wanted to do a background check so used Wikipedia to do so as it seen as a reliable source for information on Artist. I wanted to know things that may have effected the Artist for example where he grew up and his age also how he got into the industry and his influences which has created his all round image as an Rapper. This use of technology is used all around the World and is popular for obtaining information on well known people.

Blogger 

Also the main place where all our hard work is seen BLOGGER. I feel blogger is a strong piece of technology because as I type I see all the technical things it allows me to for example, changing the font and text size, adding images, adding videos, editing the HTML, using the marker and the list goes on. This also allowed me to express any ideas, influences and problems I had during the filming and ancillary work process, which is why I see BLOGGER almost diary like. We used blogger to keep track   of all the research and planning of both our main text and Ancillary product. I referred to blog in the filming process every week to track the progress the group where making also any ideas I had.

Animatic + Storyboard 

For making our animatic we used the digital camera's to take pictures then importing them onto Final Cut Pro which we then edited into one clip.  Video Below - 

Evaluation

During the evaluation stage Media Technologies are playing a key role communicating the research and different stages of filming also showing the influences of other videos. I have used sites such 'Go animate' which allowed to me to make a cartoon conversation between to characters as they talked about the conventions of Rap music video. I aslo used 'Prezi' which is seen below which allowed me to make a presentation inserting images and videos in a spider diagram style. I have also used Final Cut Pro and the  Flip Camera to make video clips explaining my theories.

* - Open Final Cut Pro 

* (CLICK)  File (SCROLL DOWN) - Import... FILE

* Select a Clip from your video drive (WHICH WILL BE EDITED)  

* Drag this clip on to the time line 

* Chop the clip using Razor tool 

* Add a new clip beside 1st clip 

* Run both clips beside each-other (Random clips please dont judge me :)
