So first and foremost, i made a new blank document and made the portrait, landscape. Filled the white background in with black using the fill-in paint tool
I imported the pictures that would be use for my advert. These were :
- the front panel (album cover)
- stars (for the ratings)
- twitter and facebook logo (the social network sites)
- i tunes logo/ hmv (places where the album could be purchased from and sponsors)
- Island Records (the record label)
After carefully assembling them in their correct place (following my mock up version) i was able to finally decide where to put my album cover and that was on the right. Simply because i liked it their and whenever i asked people to look at it, their eyes wondered from the right to the left instead of the left-right. So i thought that putting the album cover on the right would be better to grab the attention of viewers.
And this is how it looks :
Just like what i had said in the mock-up, i decided to keep the artist name and title of the album in the same font as the digipak and the rest of the information/writing in a plain colour.
